LoiLoNote is a brand new tool to communicate and submit work for students. With LoiLoNote you are able to ask students questions and the app pushes the question to their iPad and they are able to draw, search the web, take pictures, add files, make videos and submit their work straight to their teacher or share with other students by dragging and dropping their work. The teacher also has the ability to see who is in the app or doing other things, and the teacher has the capability to make the students iPads go black so that their attention is on the teacher. LoiLoNote also has the ability to allow students to present from their seat and allow students to see the presentation on their iPad. LoiLoNote is great a great tool for all ages and is worth the price for the tool that will transform the classroom.

Kahoot is a tool for students to be interactive and participate in a quiz like game. Teachers can search for games to play with their class or create their own interactive game for students. I gave this tool a 23 out of 30 because it could use a few more ways to accommodate for all learners such as, adding audio options to read answers and it is also hard for younger students to type in the code for Kahoot and read the questions and answers without guidance. Also, there is no ability to track student learning by recording student answers and who submitted which answer. Kahoot is only available in website form and not available in an app form. With a few changes this tool could really be a useful and effective tool in the classroom for all ages. In upper elementary and high school Kahoot is an engaging tool for students!

Edmodo is an app that any age user can use to communicate with their teacher and other students. There is also an option to involve parents as well. I think many would say that this tool couldn't be used with younger grades but I think with a little imagination and teaching students how to use Edmodo effectively it can be a great tool in the classroom. Edmodo can be used for discussions, responding to questions and reminders for students but I also see this tool used as an interactive feed for teachers and students, for example, students can interact with a read aloud by asking questions using Edmodo, and commenting on what they notice or wonder. The communication stream is very easy to follow and the teacher is also able to give feedback quickly and timely. Edmodo is great tool for students.

Kid Blog is a great tool that students can use to easily share their thoughts. Kid Blog is easy to navigate for all learners, with a little guidance students will be quickly on their way to blogging. Students can choose to write, add pictures and videos to share their thoughts, what they are learning, and to prove mastery of learning targets. I think this tool is a great way to get kids blogging and sharing their thoughts. Kid Blog is also great way to share what is happening in school with parents. Parents have the ability to comment and interact with their child while they are in school. There are endless possibilities with Kid Blog.

When reviewing this site I had to explore around before I really caught on to what it could be used for and how to use it effectively in the classroom. I thought this might be an interesting app to make a collage of ideas or a story board for characters or concepts about print. It could also be used to make an interactive idea board and a discussion board around morning meeting or afternoon meeting. Padlet at first would take some pre-teaching for student's to understand what it can be used for and navigating through the site. Padlet is only available as a website and is not available as an app. A teacher could share the site as an app icon on the students iPad if students were going to be using Padlet for every day tasks. One accept that I do really enjoy is that the communication stream is easy to follow and students can quickly add work or ideas to Padlet from their device. This communication tool could be very useful in the classroom with the right guidance and teaching.

Showbie is a great paperless option for students in grades K through high school. This app may not motivate the younger crowd unless you put in a little effort by adding incentives for turning in their work! Also, I only gave Showbie 2pts for differentiation because with the free version you are limited, such as, only being able to record 1 minute videos, but with the pro version you have unlimited options for differentiation. In all other areas Showbie really is a great app and website for going paperless. Another way Showbie can be used is to customize instruction for all students, by uploading instructions, videos and worksheets right into different folders for all students to work independently, easily and efficiently without having to interrupt the teacher who is instructing other students. Showbie allows students to not only to obtain information but they are also able to send documentation of their work to their teacher. I think my favorite part is being able to check in and communicate with students even when I am not at school. Students and teachers can easily communicate through voice notes and comments within the Showbie app. By far Showbie is one of my favorite communication tools to use with students.
